Best advice
A requirement of the 1986 Financial Services Act and in turn the Financial Services Authority that a financial adviser, whether independent or tied, must provide best advice regarding the most suitable product for a client, having first established a full understanding of the client's financial background. An additional requirement is that recommendations should not be influenced by commissions which the agent receives on products sold
