Breadcrumb navigation

(or "breadcrumb trail") - a "you are here" type of navigational aid on a website that shows the user where they are on a site by displaying the current subdirectory, its parent directory and so on up to the top directory level, usually displayed as clickable links near the top of a Web page. This allows the user to go back one or levels in the site.
