Graduated Payment Mortgage

A mortgage or deed or trust calling for increasingly higher payments over the term of the loan. This allows the buyer low beginning payments. The payments then increase as (theoretically) the buyer's earnings increase.

Graduated payment mortgage

A mortgage scheme in which monthly payments commence at a lower level and increase over a period of a few years to a higher level which is subsequently maintained.
